April MacLean  knows from whence  she speaks. She was a mother at 15, living in her car and motels, attending 13 high schools while she was in foster care. She wrote a letter to challenge the system as a teenager, and wound up sharing her story as a speaker for 8 years. It eventually led to her coaching business, Messy Warrior, where she leads masterminds, hosts a podcast, and writes. In her 20s, she thought she was going to be a lawyer, but  she enrolled in an Intro to Jazz Dance Classand never left the studio.  It led to co-founding Room to Dance, a dance studio in Riverside, California just for adults. And these seemingly very different businesses? She sees them as extensions of each other because they share the same  why.
